scent family tree
The scent of grape candy passes me by when I enter a convenience store. My olfactory bulb lights up and reminds me of a random Tuesday I had my teeth cleaned at the dentist. Scents often connect us to memories, some being linked to people.
This family tree website explores this concept by associating family members with five different scent categories: fresh, fruit, floral, warm, and spice.
When picking a typeface that resonated with this concept, Mrs. Eaves came to mind as it emulates a classic look with gentle serifs.
Although this website provides information, the main objective was to create an interactive experience with a non-conventional user interface.
